BUDAPEST, Feb. 25 -- Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck defeated top seed Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 in the singles final of the Hungarian Ladies Open here on Sunday.
Van Uytvanck obtained her second career title after having scored a victory last year in Quebec, Canada, against Hungarian opponent Timea Babos.
Georgina Garcia Perez of Spain and Fanny Stollar of Hungary beat Kirsten Flipkens of Belgium and Johanna Larsson of Sweden to win the doubles title, 4-6, 6-4, 10-3.
"We started slowly, but thanks to the crowd, we managed to turn the game," Stollar said.
The Hungarian Tennis Association first organized the indoor WTA tournament of Budapest in 2024.
